On November 11, 2018, the Government of Alberta and the City of Edmonton will commemorate Armistice and the end of the First World War with an official ceremony and family activities.

Come and experience the end of the First World War as Albertans did 100 years ago. The event will be a remarkable experience for all ages. Bring your stories,  photos, momentos of your family connection to the Great War, see the Lord Strathcona Horses and corral, be part of the Menin Gate “Piling of the Drums” ceremony and walk the John McCrae Poppy Labyrinth and leave a message for the next 100 years, view WW1 exhibits. Collect a replica of the Edmonton Bulletin WW1 front page. And yes, there will be tanks and a 21 gun salute!
